I, too, feel that it should be clear that casino chips are included, but I also feel that as of now the term numismatic covers what we collect. The words "in exchange" can so easilly apply to "equal value" regarding chips....especially if one purchases the chip at the cage; walks out the door, and returns to "exchange" the chip for its equal value in cash without ever using it for what it was intended for.
