I would tend to believe that if the American
Numismatic Association did not believe what we
collect was numismatic material....they simply would
not have us as a member club. One would be
surprised as to what is considered numismatic
material and used "in exchange" for money.
As a student of French casino history, I can show
you where "Cloak Room Tags" are considered
numismatic material and prized by French
numismatists (and this American, too).
I feel positive thinking is in order here, and if it
proves to be able to protect us as an organized
group, we should be thankful and not even consider
the negative side as a group. Thus far we've been
lucky to stop one manufacturer twice from continuing
to be the cause of collectors being duped with the
"FAKE" Cuban chips and the super-high-denomination
Foxy's Firehouse imitations.
