Re: Collecting question
If offered a used chip for a few bucks or a new condition for $10. Which would you buy? The nice ones will stand out in your collection and you will not have to upgrade later. See my auctions for many nice slight used to new chips, older issues, for sale now and being listed tonight and on Sunday. There are some older table issue chips that were used for so many years, that all are used, except for the chips collectors picked up early on. Learning how tough it is to get all chips in like new condition is part of the fun of collecting, visiting shows, etc.
The Frontier chip you show is one I will be listing tonight in brand new condtion. A chip I picked up many years ago and saved. It is one that you can find though in near new to new shape. Try to find a Nevada Palace 1st issue, in use many years in good shape. Coin metal center chips, those stood up to many years of use so dont look too bad when used for many years. Small crown chips tended to wear down quicker.
