faced many times when traveling with my husband as he is a big guy. Another issue is the space between the rows as he is 6'3" and his knees often touch the seat in front of him. We've opted to fly first class but the pricing can be ridiculous or not available. I agree that if you took a row of three seats and put two larger seats in and charged 50% more for them, most larger people with pay the price just to be more confortable. Problem is that first class is often much more than that. Keep in mind that the last thing a big person wants to do is be embarrassed if they dont fit in the seat. If the seating or spacing is too tight, even the average size person can be uncomfortable.
