I lived near Peoria when they first approved gambling there. I had heard that they spent something like $5 Million on the boat and getting everything ready. I was shocked that people would spend so MUCH money on a riverboat. Goes to show you what the average person knows about gambling and potential profits (I wasn't a collector then). If I remember correctly, Splash casino made $125 Million in profits in the two years they were open.
In any case, Jumer's always had a good reputation in the Peoria area and I am surprised that the operation may have gone downhill.
