I agree with you, there needs to be a better way. I just finished an auction, It took 6 weeks from the end of the auction until I received the chips. The seller:

1) Was very slow to send out the chips
2) Overcharged on postage
3) Did not respond to several email messages, until I made a threat
4) Horrible packaging, you can tell what was in the package and the package was opened and resealed. I guess some post office personnel do not collect chips because none were missing.

I told the seller that I would no longer buy anything from him, but that I would not post negative feedback on eBay because I did not want him to retaliate. My eBay record is unblemished and I do not wish for that to change. The seller is still out there on eBay, what can you do?
