I wasn't aware that many were purchased. For some reason I was lead to believe that they were keeping an eye on these chips especially the lower denominations to keep them from walking.

Yes, it is a beautiful set and I am jealous of the $100 with the stripes which is the only one I'm missing from my set.
I had just started collecting them shortly before they were pulled but did manage to get all the others.
I still recall Bob Orme's posting of the yellow high value Jeton. I think it was the $1000

Perhaps I should have re worded my comment. Though the chips might have been paid for, I would think to just destroy them would not be in their best interest as there is still a big potential for them to cash in by re- releasing them
