We are now more that 3 Trillion in the hole and somewhere along the line we will have to get the ever unpopular tax increases we all abhor.
I think for that reason if no other we have to have a more responsible government that will cut spending.

Here in N.J. we have a new governer a Republican and he thus far is doing exactly what he promisd to do, to try to straighen out what our previous governo left in his lap.
In his recent speech he told people that we are no longer living in an Alice in Wonderland world and outlined how he was going to cut ( I believe it was 2 billion) out of the states budget before the end of the fiscal year. Everyone is going to get hit in one form or another but it has to be done.
The trick is once we control spending, to keep it that way.

I had a friend that served on the school board here in a northern N.J. town and he basically told me how thet literally wasted monies at the end of their fiscal year to avoid a surplus and hence not getting increased funding the following year. These are the things that must be stopped
