... but I did not want to nominate a chip I did not like or want to become COTY just to vote. If I nominate a chip, then I personally want it to win. With currency it is easy to see every new issue that came out that year- with chips its not so easy (or at least I have not found a place listing all the new chips). Follis helped a great deal by posting the nominations on a website. Is there a place I can view all the new issues for 2009? If there is I could make an educated decision, it not its just a shot in the dark. Many small casinos (like Kickapoo in Texas) do not get the attention LV issues get simply because only a few people here go there and report new issues- so consequently those have a very slim chance at even getting nominated- or winning.

I realize the process is the best we can do at present, I was just stating a desire for it to be better. With money, a new issue requires a large ripple effect that causes everyone to notice- unfortunately with chips a new issue could go unnoticed by someone outside of the local area of a small isolated casino.
