Consulting a list is great but what about the 800 chips that you bought in the last three days? It is awfully hard to keep track of what you have AND what you buy. I print up four books that include most of what I have in my collection but still accidentially get some duplicates. Also remember that a good portion of those duplicates are chips that I picked up intentionally at local casinos(including Desert Inn roulettes, Convention Tournament chips, etc.) to have as traders and for round robins, etc. I am not really complaining about the duplicates, just that I need to get rid of some of them so I don't have to lug that 125 pound suitcase to the convention next year. Or maybe I will haul them all and set up as a dealer next year. I have been considering that for at least two years but I always felt that visiting would be more fun than working!
