However now with low revenues and high operating cost put against investments its no wonder that no one wants to invest in A/C
At one point I heard the Taj had to gross close to a Million a day to break even.
The Colony group that purchased Resorts could never make a profit though they haven't owned the property that long. They too recently turned it over to the creditors.
As you also probably read, Icahn purchased (though still not a completed deal) A billion plus property (The Tropicana) for 200 Million
Want to buy a casino? It's bargain week in A/C
Frankly though Trump has never mentioned this, well to my knowledge anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if he went after the Revel property which sits only footsteps away from the Taj.
It would be sweet revenge on his part if he forced the present Trump casino operators to take his name off the buildings.
Say what you will about Trump and I wouldn't disagree but if his name came off the buildings the value would only plummet more.
In my opinion the future of Revel right now is very iffy at best
BTW as far as age April 2 will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Taj.
You have to wonder why it wasn't opened on April 1st
