I started off collecting a $1 slot token from each casino that I visited as a souvenir, and then noticed that a lot of machines had tokens from other casinos in them - that started me trying to find extras by putting $100 into machines and then cashing straight out!

I picked up quite a few, but as most were used, they were not always clear - it was my wife who suggested picking up a chip instead as they were obvious straight away where they came from.....and the rest as they say is history!

I also went through the same changes that I think many other collectors do...firstly collecting anything I could get my hands on before realising I could never collect everything, and also collecting any condition in order to get something for my collection before only now collecting used chips when they really might be the only condition I will ever find (or afford )

So now I have an acheivable aim (maybe!), with just UK chips, a $5 chip from every Vegas Casino and one from every other Nevada location, and a small but growing embyonic collection of worldwide CIC chips (just one per country - fun to search for and relatively cheap so far!)
