I certainly agree with your last paragraph, John. And Jim certainly doesn't need me as a defender. But the seller's actions clearly demonstrate malice of forethought to profit from excessive shipping charges, a lack of concern for whether his customers get their merchandise in good condition, and an unwillingness to change. EBay provides only one mechanism to express dissatisfaction, and far too many people are unwilling to use it. I simply agree it was warranted in this case, and applaud Jim for standing by his conscience, especially in the face of such criticism.
