My first problem with an Ebay transaction was similar to this one.
I bid on 4 seperate auctions by one seller, each had individually a shipping charge which was too high like $6 for a single chip, but I decided that I would bid on the four auctions anyway expecting to combine the shipping.
After winning the auctions I asked the seller to combine the shipping charges. He refused and in his email he explained that if he didn't list such high shipping charges, the chips final bids would have been higher.
Well I paid him the full amount, he became the first person on my list of people not to buy chips from (I am sure that he lost money on that, both from lost sales and also from lost bids which would have pushed up his final prices).
Then he shipped all four four chips in one envelope with postage under $2.
I was relatively new to Ebay and every seller I had ever dealt with had always combined shipping.
I didn't leave him a negative feedback and I didn't report him for fee avoidance (which he basically admitted to in his email to me). In fact I had given a positive feedback from an earlier transaction.
I wish I had reported him and left a negative, because not long ago another club member posted here about being ripped off (not a shipping charge issue) by the same dealer.
