I'm not sure what you mean by coin or medal aligned. If you hold the chip right side up and then rotate it sideways the image on the other side will be right side up also.

I began to notice this new development when Foxwoods came out with their millennium chip. I could never find one with reversed inserts. Usually, they were always easy to find, about 50/50. I had the same thing happen with a couple others and it finally sunk in that something new was going on. I think it is just LE's that I have noticed it on.

Maybe some casino type person (are you listening Gene?), can call Paulson and ask about them?
