.... I'm not defending this seller, or saying that you should not have left the negs. Althought he worst thing I can see here is potentially bad packaging, as opposed to actual bad packaging, since the chips arrived in good shape.

All I'm saying is that it's up to the buyer to investigate shipping costs before bidding, and it's also the buyers responsibility to examine a seller's feedback before bidding. Hopefully, the next bidder will look at the seller's feeedback and see the potential for problems with shipping, and avoid the auctions, or enter into a transaction with eyes wide open.
