Jim, you, yourself, have boiled down your reason for negging him was that you paid a shipping fee and the chips arrived carelessly packed.

I received 2 chips just the other day in a priority mail box (those red, white and blue cigar size boxes from the PO). When I took the box out of the mail box I could hear them banging around inside the box. When I opened it, there was no packing material. The 2 chips were put inside a plastic 2 X 2 sealable pouch and taped to the inside of the box. Unfortunately the tape did not cover were the pouch was sealed. The pouch opened in transit and the 2 chips were banging around during the trip.

Well the bottom line is I got the chips. They were in good condition. Should I have negged him. These were packed far worse than yours. Obviously not.

I agree that the guy is a creep. But to base everthing on bad packing, let me just say that if someone else negged him solely for the "bad packing" reason, I don't think you would have supported him.

The "crime", albeit a moral crime, is the price gouging for profit on the shipping charges. I know you won't admit to this because he clearly stated his charges so you feel that everything is honky-dorey there. Well you missed the pricing charges and I'm sure many others will get ripped off for not reading the price charges. What bothers me is ythat you would have accepted this transaction had he added just a little bit more packing material. Everything else was acceptable to you. Well I feel that the packing aspect was acceptable and everything else was NOT acceptable.
