... the original Dean Clark thread (over his use of the word "rare"). I wasn't exactly "defending" him, but merely expressing the opinion that "rare" is a subjective opinion, not a verifiably objective statement.
As subsequent events proved, there were other good reasons to criticize Dean (the Carl Cole deal) and I publically stated that I thought Dean was wrong and that I would not only stop buying from him myself, but would suggest others do the same -- which I posted right here on the board.
Furthermore, as you probably know, I spend a fair amount of my spare time writing to eBay sellers about false, fraudulent and misleading chip auction descriptions and have on a number of occasions posted messages here about sellers who seemed to be intentionally taking advantage of people on eBay. In fact, my only negative feedback before this deal was another retaliatory neg that I got from someone who was ripping people off on eBay.
But, in your opinion, the fact that I originally defended Dean before subsequent events convinced me that I could no longer do so, means that I am now "the last person who should complain".
Hey, Travis, I guess that means I have to resign from the eBay police. Guess you're on your own! ----- jim o\-S
