.... help the situation and correct the lack of communication between buyers and sellers to prevent such results? I discuss everything with a seller "before" I bid on something. The way I look at it, there is no reason why such efforts should not be practiced "before" the bidding even starts. I just happen to believe in "ironclad agreements" in writ. If I can discuss method of payment and shipment, I would think anyone else could do the same. I've sold many fragile items (and books) on eBay where buyers demanded how they wanted the item packed. They took the time to explain the dangers in not doing so correctly. This, to me, seems like a wise use of energy to induce efficiiency. I've come on this BB many times preaching that padded (bubble wrap mailers) should be purchased through wholesalers at about 10¢ each. I find no reason for anyone who does not explain to an eBay seller who offers clay composition chips that some type of safe, secure method of packing must be used.
