Harold's Club 1952 Photo and Question?

Here's a photo taken for LIFE Magazine in 1952. It's Harold's Club in Reno. It looks like Harold Smith in the fancy shirt beyond the roulette table. Can anyone verify that? The question is. In the inset photo I have a close up view of a very dark house chip with two light inserts. From the position on the table I'd say they were five dollar chips. What would such a chip look like? Has anyone got one?
