This news comes as no surprize. Late in August, my family took one of their cruises out of Houston. The cruise was excellent. Friendly staff, lots of fun things to do, fairly good ports of call, and the ship was in nice condition.

The staff was beginning to feel a little concerned because for a ship with a capacity of over 1100 there were only about 700 passengers, which was fine by us. We were told that the next weeks cruise would have under 500.

As the ships catered to families with young children, it was in a very specific niche, leaving a short window of summer for full capacity, as school took alot of their customers away in mid August.

On our cruise the staff or passengers had absolutely no idea that they would face bankruptcy in a couple short weeks. I feel badly for all of those wonderful people who are now not only unemployed but probably stranded in a foreign country, far from home. It would not surprize me if our waiter, to whom we gave our phone and address , calls at any moment.

In answer to Don's question. These ships were at one time working with Disney but, for the past 3 years, have been under the "Premier" flag. Disney now has 2 of their own ships, cutting out the middle man, a common Disney ploy.
