The same principle is used on an MRI machine in hospitals. An extremely high powered electro magnet pulses and the electrons in the hydrogen molecules all ‘line-up’ in the same direction due to the magnetism and in that instant an image is made. The process is repeated over and over until a complete scan is made.
During the process the magnetic force is so great it will attract stainless steel instruments that are ‘non-magnetic’ making metals in close proximity to the MRI machine very dangerous as they can become flying objects.
