Chez Paree - Carter Lake, Iowa - This is a piece of Iowa that is on the west side of the Missouri river that juts into Omaha, Nebraska
Interesting Story: In 1990 Jackie Gaughan (originally from Omaha) and partners were attempting to secure one of the two Keno licenses in Omaha, and they were questioned about the Chez Paree in Carter Lake. The Chez Paree was a well know illegal gambling operation in the area back in the 40's and 50's. They claimed that the Chez Paree never had any kind of gambling at any time.

The Smoke Shop was located in Crescent, Iowa which is a straight drive across the Mormon bridge in North Omaha.

Other illegal clubs were the Riviera Club and the Flamingo Club on the South Omaha Bridge Rd. At the time it was outside of Council Bluffs, IA.
