... I read a note or two within the "Slab/List" posts during the past few days mentioning if someone purchased a slabbed chip at a good price they would "free it" by breaking it out of its holder... Such practice will still be helping the slabbers; where not even buying one no matter how inexpensive... doesn't contribute one cent to them. The object isn't just NOT having a slabbed chip; it's not having to make slabbers richer... But how many chippers will be willing to do that?

My idea of not having a slabbed chip is EXACTLY that... "NOT having a slabbed chip NO matter what is is" -- sample or whatever... and if for educational purposes... then only one sample for the whole hobby is all that is needed.
