Earlier this year, the previous BoD was presented with an EXCELLENT idea from Roy Nelson -- producing a chip / gaming memorabilia calendar. Roy had some good ideas and the BoD expounded on them, but it never came to reality. We have once again discussed it & would like the opinions from you all on-line. Here's the general idea about the calendar:

-- 18 month calendar (July 1st, 2010 to Dec 31st, 2011) that would be sold at the convention & available for those that could not attend the convention.

-- Wall-type calendar with chip / gaming memorabilia related picture at the top & the calendar part on the bottom. The top part could be / would be holiday-related (October -- Halloween, January -- New Year, etc...).

-- The bottom calendar part might have a holiday-related chip on that date (ie: Halloween on October 31st)

-- There was a thought that, for a small fee, you could put a chip and / or "Happy Birthday" wish to yourself or someone else on their birthday...or maybe in the extra spaces not used by days of the month?

Now the tough part -- it would cost $13 to $15 each to produce...would you be willing to pay $18 to $20 for one? It's not going to make the club rich, but if we could make $5 each & could sell 100 (that's the minimum order), hey, we add $500 to the club's general fund. More important, if you hang it on a wall at your work, it brings a little extra exposure to the club. And if we get the MOGH involved, it would be a great way to get them some exposure as well.

Comments...thoughts? Time is running out as there is much work that would need to be done in advance of getting these printed, so your comments really are important. And if this is well-received, some of you may be contacted for donations of pictures, scans, talent to help bring this together.
