I was always a Canon man, with my first black FTb back in 1970, and still used my manual focus Canon T90s until a few years ago. My friend had a full frame digital Canon that he was always cursing because the lcd screen didnt match the image...so when I decided to get a dSLR, Nikon had just come out with their 18-200 zoom, which looked pretty neat so I got that lens and the D40.....the D40 will go down as a classic..its a great little camera with a outstanding sensor. most of these pics where with the 18-55 kit lens which shows alot of distortion....but corrected in photoshop or DxO optics..but to lazy to process them
