The other day Jim Follis asked me about the $2 bill. It is considered by many as an 'odd' denomination, but '3' is even MORE odd in a deci-system. Many connotations have been made using the $3 dollar bill. "___________" as a $3 dollar bill, with everything under the sun put in the blank & tons of fantasy or cartoon notes have floated around.

The Question is: Has there ever been a actual United States note of $3 denomination circulated?
