I remember passing the 11+, or rather I just remember the one question that I know I got wrong, but still passed!

Fortunately Essex also has grammar schools, with Colchester and Chelmsford usually in the top scoring schools - at my last job, my boss's kids went to King Edward Grammar in Chelmsford and I had been to Colchester Royal Grammar so we always used to check which one did better in the exam results and the lower scoring bought the drinks that night.....I think I came out just on top over time but it was pretty close.

Congrats to your duaghter - my Emily will be taking her 11+ in 2 years!!!
