Dear Fellow members ... as a member of our club as well as several other collectible clubs and old car clubs, I see a real need for required membership at the national level and heres why! (1) A strong national club membership carries a lot of weight in the business world to negoiate member deals such as (reduced hotel rates) (publicity considerations) (club sponserships)
(financial stability) etc. If the National Club was splintered into much smaller groups, most group bargaining power would be lost. Members benefits seems to be the issue here, and I agree the National has to come up with some very good programs that trickle down to the Local Chapters. It's a two way street. I welcome John Yee to his new position and hope he does not scare too easily. In my home town of Las Vegas It costs more to join the local ($25) than it does to join the National! There is something wrong with that picture.
We must attract new members to our hobby! Grow it, or our hobby will dwindle away. We have a new election coming up, let's all get a breath of fresh air!
