was the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot Machine and Jukebox Show (whew! that's a mouthful to type!). So we left home on Saturday afternoon, and went as far as the Majestic Star Casino (yeah...I know it's kind of a dump, but we get free rooms).

We checked in, then went over to the Majestic Star II (was the Trump). I was going to play some spin poker, but the machines were all busy. Over to check out the the penny 100-play...also all busy. Big times or 4-of-a-kind-bonus? Nope...both busy. Grrrrrr....o.k., I'll play this multi-strike thing...not a favorite, but I'll just play 1-2 lines until another machine opens up.

I'm playing deuces wild and it deals me three toward a royal, and a pair. My mind is saying "hold the pair, better chance at getting to the next level"...while my fingers are busy holding the three-to-a-royal, and pushing the draw button! And I got the royal!! I cashed it out, and just then my husband walked up...and asked if I had the camera, so I could take a picture. I did have the camera...and Angel Greg was with me, so he posed for the picture (though he didn't show up real well ) .

On Sunday we went to Pheasant Run, where the show is held. Saw lots of slot machines and game-room type stuff...from neon to characters to scales to bakelite radios to jukeboxes to... here's some pictures...

And my favorite place to spend some time...Bud Meyer's booth! Bud said HI to Greg. (Bud also said he hadn't seen Riverboat Rick yet...did you go, Rick?) I'll show you the chips we got (some good ones! ) after I get 'em scanned .

This machine came out of the Horseshoe in Vegas, though I think the figurine was newish. Love the machine...hate the hat
