I have been collecting currency nearly 50 years. The internet was one of the most wonderful things to come along. Communications no longer took weeks, information was at my fingertips, images could be seen from around the world, and experts could be consulted in minutes rather than days or weeks.

BUT, before the internet it was a S L O W process. Getting a note with foreign writing proved the most difficult to identify translating character by character until some sense was made.
