David-
I agree with you 100% in principle. Unfortunately we face two problems with trying to prohibit non CC>CC members from attending the trade sessions, educational seminars, auction, and other meetings. First and foremost our Convention is governed by the regulations of Clark county. Our licensing Chairman this year was able to help us avoid the purchase of an expensive ($1500 +/-) Convention permit by only allowing members to attend the Convention. You may not have noticed but this year we did not have "public admission" rather we sold "one day memberships". This prohibits us from barring anyone from attending member events. Even if we could get around this issue we don't have the volunteers to man the doors and check the badges for each event. It's a real struggle just to get enough volunteers to man the door for the Wednesday night reception. Thanks.
