My application runs remotely from my house and it may not always be up and running. So we still need the regular spam helpers to keep tabs on the spam too when they can. My application fires off every ten minutes... so if we see the spam hanging around longer than ten minutes, then we'll have to manually delete it off just like normal. Plus my application won't catch all of it. I may have to tweak how it works over time to adjust for any changes in the spam activity. I'm afraid it will be an on going fight!
I also appreciate all of the patience that you all have had with the outages in the board. I have an open trouble ticket with the host provider and they are supposed to be researching why we have been having the server lockup issues. So hopefully they will have some ideas on what is happening to the server at their facility.
