Just yesterday some of us were talking about the time we stayed at the Horseshoe, and an earthquake hit! The tower was swaying and it was very scary ! The swaying actually woke me up, and when I realized that it felt like the room was moving, the first thing I did was try to figure out if I'd been drinking (I hadn't). Then I saw the curtain rod swaying back and forth, like a metronome. There was a knock on the door, it was my step-daughter...who was also trying to figure out what was going on. I think we heard the maids, or someone in the hall, talking about it being an earthquake. Most people who were at ground-level didn't even feel it.
As for the Landmark, I visited it one time...sure do wish I'd grabbed a chip or two!
