I also believe, as Jim Reilly does, that the time is
right to discuss this...along with discussing the
location of a mid-year location.
I suggest Biloxi, Mississippe, as one of the
locations because of the inexpensive room rates and
the vast selection of hotels. I also agree with
Archie that Atlantic City would not be a good
location for a club convention because of the
expensive room rates. Two
excellent shows in Biloxi have attracted dealers and
collectors from as far west as CA, OR and NM.
Others came from the Norteast as well. The shows
previous to Biloxie that were held in Tunica did not have such
great reviews at that time.
I also suggest the time of year as being Winter.
I'm sure there are other locations of interest...and
and I agree, the time is right to discuss.
I'd like to see a mid-year show as soon as 2001.
Thoug I'm in favor of this excellent thought of
Jim's, I have no idea as to what work would be
involved to follow through, or who would even do it.
Perhaps we could hire a show oganizer...or perhaps
those in the casino/hotel business have some ideas
to share.
