I have noticed inconsistancies pertaining to certain sellers on eBay. My philosophy: "caveat emptor". With so many honest sellers to choose from at this forum, I detour immediately upon seeing a questionable seller. Regardless of the chip that is up for auction.

I frequently email sellers well before the auction expires. If the item is expensive, I will request a phone number & call the seller. I pay attention to the bid action & research the bidders. As you stated Bob, there is, unfortunately, equal opportunity for scoundrels to mix with honest folk.
