Dick,

I attended the Convention also and I don't see how ANYONE could believe or truthfully say there was ANYTHING lacking. A great job was done by ALL and a great time was had by ALL.

If fact, John's posting wasn't even ABOUT the 2000 Convention!!

It was poking a little fun at (some) of the folks who post on this board who (many times) take themselves too seriously. An OUTSIDER reading some of these daily postings must think this club is only made up of a bunch of self-rightous busy bodies and know-it-alls. John's posting was meant as SATIRE... he was saying that whatever the few members who post to this board decide on... SHOULD be the direction that the club goes... because the "sun rises and sets" on what gets said on this board (or at least they would like that to be so...)

It is no wonder that there are so few 'new' people posting on this board compared to the 100's and 100's who "lurk". Who wants to make a posting and take a chance of being attacked by the "regulars" who MIGHT misunderstand something.

It seemed VERY obvious to me that it was said in jest. Too bad I seem to be the only one...
