I like to start a discussion on this chips that Jim Follis posted last week. You have to bare with me, some of these questions may seem dumb but I’m just trying to learn from the experts here.

Based on these pictures from Jim and Gene, it looks to me that there are 2 variations of this $25K chips with Paulson logo on the back, the difference being how the chips are notched. Is there a reason behind these 2 different notches? Could there be a date associated with these notches, which could mean these 2 chips were made or notched at different periods?

In the discussion last week, there was also a mentioning of the $25k chips being used or not at the Binion. I did a little research and found this article written about Archie Karas. In this article, it said that Archie won so much money from the shoe at one point, that he had all the $5000 chips in his vault. Jack Binion had $25k chips made so he can get some of the $5000 chips back on the floor.
