Greg,
(1) your second point shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Every web site I go to that has a password (I suggested a password-ID for listings), has a "forgot password?" link next to the "log in" tab. There must be lots of software to ask key questions to find one's password, or reapply.
(2) your first point is interesting. I hadn't considered it (stale ads not being deleted). My thoughts are: a stale ad is still useful to some extent; it showed a past sale.............I would hope listers to be responsible; it would be limitted to Club members............Listers could be suspended if they were too irresponsible..........If a lister forgot to cancel a listing and got an email for the chip, he would realize he forgot to delete the listing and would then go to delete it...............Perhaps we could have a 30-day lifespan for listing from new, untested members; that is, listings could expire after 30 days, and the member would have to relist the chip............Perhaps all listers could have their listings expire in 30 days if there was convenient software for listers to simply check what they wanted renewed in mass.
(3) I made a mental error in my long post above -- I spoke of "sellers being taken by sellers." I , of course, meant: BUYERS being taken by sellers.
