I spray periodically with Malatihion or Malathion Plus and I find that eliminates anty insects that have taken up a residency. Malathion Plus will also kill mosquitos, so it's excellent in the hot weather. I spray outside along the foundation and under the window sills from outside just before our hoses are turned off for the winter. I do this again in the spring and throughout the summer. I usually use a Miracle-Gro sprayer if I don't find the malathion in the hose connector bottle.

Ladybugs can be purchased in a frozen state and released in your garden as a means to control aphids.

You can purchase ladybugs from a garden supply or through mail order and then release them as a form of natural pest control (they eat the really little bugs that damage your garden plants). It sounds plausible, but don't go punch the little old lady planting bulbs next door.
