Though jetons and plaques are my forte (France,
Belgium and United Kingdom being my specialty) with
close to 100,000 pieces (1,000+ plaques) of which
chips and jetons encompass hundreds of countries and
hundreds of casinos (especially of years past), I
focus in obtaining Mother-of-Pearl and Ivory antique
poker chips, first...with the generic clay
composition types, last. Within my antique ivory
poker chip interests, I prefer tha personal monogram
material over common looking numerals...but will
never pass up anything. Most of my collection is housed in several bank vaults in the Palm Beach area with hardly anything being kept at home. I do not own one album, as the majority of chips are stored in 2x2 coin boxes to conserve costly storage fees. I do not clean chips nor do I keep them in contact with PVC and placticsizers. My entire collection has
been left to Father Flanigan's Boys Town....and I've
executed several gifts of deed to historical
societies, museums both public and private and UNLV.
