Remembering Greg

For a variety of reasons, I haven't checked the ChipBoard the last couple of months and just came on tonight and read the absolutely terrible news that Greg had died. I just sat here and cried, read many of the tributes posted here, read his obituary and cried some more.

Greg was one of my earliest friends in the hobby, going back to our days on the CompuServe Collectibles Forum (early 1990's and pre-ChipBoard). In those days, we struggled to get a new post or two a day in the Casino section of the forum. Nevertheless, even as the CompuServe forum struggled, Greg saw that there was and would be a need for a place for chip collectors to gather, trade chips & stories, argue politics, post jokes, shoot the bull and just make friends. And so was born the ChipBoard.

Over the years, Greg showed himself to be one of the most dedicated, selfless, friendly and just plain good guys it has ever been my privilege to know and call my friend.

There are no words that can express the sadness I am feeling. My condolences to the entire Susong family and to everyone here, Greg's chip-collecting family. We are all going to miss him terribly.
