... I just got my computer back. I have a 6 month old computer and had set it for automatic updates for my software...

Everything worked fine until it installed the Vista Service Pack II and wanted to reboot. I allowed it to reboot... it never came back up, it went through the "Start-up Repair" for 2 days. The restore points were erased except for the Service Pack II start-up point.

UPSIDE: I have 160 gigs of data, pictures, website, currency data, financial data, mail, etc, etc---- Was ALL Backed up EXTERNALLY. But now I have the pain to reload and re-link everything. What a pain!

Service Pack II --- You can think about it but DON'T DO IT!
