I would base the award on the calendar year. That way, if the BoD approves it by December 31st of this year, then 2010 would be the first year to be considered for the award. And 2011 would be the first convention where it would be awarded. I would think the best time to present the award would be at the banquet.

I also think it would be fantastic to have Carol, Lauren & Robert there the first year at the awards ceremony. I know the is strapped for funds, but we could arrange some type of fundraiser to obtain the funds to fly them out & pay for the trip. There is no reason why those of us who are regulars here could not raise the money needed.

I would also like to see a nice trophy with Greg's picture, where the yearly winner has their name etched on the trophy. Then it could be displayed at a prominent location on the convention floor every year. The trophy could be stored here in Las Vegas when not at the convention. The yearly winner could be given a nice plaque to keep.

I would be more than willing to do anything at all to make sure this idea comes to fruition.
