Greg Susong

On Friday October 9, 2009 Greg Susong passed away. Greg was a member of the Caribbean Casino Collectors Club. He allowed me to copy the design of his ChipGuide website for the Caribbean ChipGuide. He also designed and created the logo for the website, shown below.

Greg was responsible for: The ChipBoard, The ChipGuide, The StrikePoint, and The Slot Card BBS. He is a member of the CCGT&CC Hall of Fame and served the Hall of Fame committee as its chairman for many years. He was the webmaster of the CCGT&CC website. He ran the Tuesday night before the start of the annual CC>CC convention Online Chippers Party at the Palms Casino. A tradition started during the convention's run at the Riviera was Friday lunch at Kady's Coffee Shop, which we named in his honor, the Susong Burger Lunch. He was one of the four Limo Studs. He beamed the convention by webcam to those who could not attend. He was an organizer of the Wednesday night online Chippers poker tournament. He turned a hobby of remote individuals into a community. A community of friends. His contributions to the hobby are second to none.

But most of all, Greg was our friend. He always wore a smile that radiated his friendship to all, I never saw him without it. He was intelligent, creative, humble, had unlimited energy, and had the spirit to give without expectations. I am shocked at his passing and will always remember him. Our condolences go out to his wife Carol, his children, and the rest of the Susong family.
