My computer is a Gateway.. I'm really happy with it and it hasn't given me an ounce of trouble... Unfortunately with technology moving as fast as it is soon its only value will be as a doorstop. The specs you listed are good.I don't know what your budget is but the advice I would give you is. Try not to spend money on state of the art since from the time you order it until you receive it there will already be something with more bells and whistles. I'm looking at a Dell 800 Mhz w/ A 17' Monitor they have a pretty good deal at about $1300. You can customize it with a larger than offered hard drive and just about anything else you might require.
Many people are hesitant buying thru the mail. I bought my Gateway thru the mail and have no regrets. Dell has consistently been rated #1 for any problems you might encounter. Friends that have Dell's swear by them not at them...
