One of the biggest problems with the laws in regard to online poker is that there really is not any. The laws that they are attempting to apply are old laws on the books, mostly made regarding sports/horse betting. They are all very vague, because when they were written the internet did not even exist.

As to why MGM and Harrahs are not set up online, would you risk your gaming license? It has nothing to do with any "pitfalls", its a matter of dollars. Both have a sure thing right now, why attempt to enter a undetermined market? I can guarentee you, once the US gets with it, they will both be at the front of the line.
