I did the same thing with my Advair (asthma) medicine. Normally is about $150 for 60 doses which is supposed to be a one month supply. One pack actually lasts me almost a year. But anyway, I ran out earlier this year so I went to the local clinic (we have $15 medical deductible) and got a prescription for the Advair. I then shopped around online and got it filled from a place in Canada. Instead of $150 each I got two of them for $98 shipped.

I had a similiar thing happen when we were in Egypt about 5 years ago. My back was acting up real bad and I was in so much pain I couldn't even concentrate on the sites. I went to the concierge at the hotel and told him my problem and figured that he would send me to a local doctor for $100+. Instead he told me to just go visit the pharmacy next to the hotels parking lot. I bought lots of Prenisone for my back since it only cost $.70 per pack instead of the $15 here in the US. I also got some regular asthma inhalers for $2 instead of $15 each. I doubt that it is really legal to bring this stuff back into the US but I didn't have any problems.
