Hey Doug... A few years ago at the CC>CC convention, I found a seller that had a quantity of small crown Maple Leaf chips for sale. They were all in "pristine" condition and they were if I remember right, in black, yellow, green, and orange, all with 100% gold stamp in tact. I can remember being shocked at the condition of the chips because I had only seen the Maple Leaf chips in Red & Blue and very worn. They claimed the chips were from a day cruise that sailed out of California... Long Beach if I remember right... anyway... I always questioned the story and also the fact that the Red and Blue chips that are not common for low denomination chips, are so worn. They wanted a small fortune for the chips and I passed mainly because I had about fourty blue very worn Maple Leafs at the time. This chip was the best of the lot.
