after 3 years my Canon SD550 camera lens would not retract. A little Google showed that it is a pretty common occurrance with practically no support from Canon. Needless to say, cost to repair approx. $150 vs another 7 mp camera in the $300 price range. Glad I bought my Nikon D60 two months ago for upcoming 1 year old birthday party for my Grandson, Damien.

Out of curosity, has anyone else had the dredded E18 error code on their digital cameras?
